  9. May, might and could + have + pastparticiple are usedtospeculateaboutevents and situations in thepast. ExampleThey are late. Themayhavebeenheld up in therushhourtraffic. • May, might and could + have + pastparticipleare usedtotalkaboutpossibilities in thepastthatweknowdidn´tactuallyhappen. Example Didn´tused a map? Youmighthavegotlost (Butyoudidn´t)
