  1. The very first step is doing nothing but letting the oil break its natural chain slowly. This is a preferable step if it is not polluting any oceanic area or the busy highway. This method may or may not be used depending on the time frame available for treating the oil spill.

  2. Now if the oil spill happens in the water bodies the first step to use is the skimmer Equipment. With the right kind of skimmer the formed thick layer on water bodies is blocked at first. These skimmers tend to suck all thick oil and throw in to storage tank.

  3. Another method by which you can actually get the answer of how to clean up oil spilling is using the dispersants. These dispersants actually make the thick layer chemically weak and break them into pieces which are also termed as biodegradation. Each small droplets start diluting .Thus is dependent of the weather condition like temperature as well as weather condition.

  4. There is one bacterial way to break down the oil spill. It is more practical in the case of oil spill way in the ocean or in severely important water bodies where it is very important to maintain clean path. With the process of biodegradation the layer of oil on the top of water gets broken down through the help of the fungus or other bacterial agent present in the water bodies.

  5. Thus out of many other methods these four methods are regarded as quite important and prioritize method to carry on when there is sudden spill way. The uses of the kits that are allocated by the concerned research centers make you more and safer to the oil spill risk. So it is best to keep the track of those kits as well.
