How Did We Get Here? • Fire Alarm Systems were not keep up to date • Some buildings do not even have a fire alarm system • Roof systems deteriorate over time and need to be repaired and/or replaced • Gym floor is old, outdated, and in very bad condition • Restroom facilities do not meet current ADA guidelines or facility needs • HVAC systems need to be updated
Studying the Issues • First – an evaluation of the campus was conducted • Second – Board of Education was informed • Third – Bond Committee was established to study the issues and to develop a recommendation to the board • Finally – Bond issue is developed from the needs and presented to the voters of the district

On the Ballot PROPOSITION “Shall Independent School District Number 80 of Blaine County, Oklahoma, incur an indebtedness by issuing its bonds in the sum of One Million Eight Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($1,840,000) to provide funds for the purpose of constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites, and levy and collect an annual tax, in addition to all other taxes, upon all the taxable property in such District sufficient to pay the interest on such bonds as it falls due and also to constitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal thereof when due, said bonds to bear interest at not to exceed the rate of ten (10%) per centum, per annum, payable semi-annually and to become due serially within eight (8) years from their date?”
