Soldering Safety • You MUST wear safety eye wear during soldering, filing, nailing, and trimming the leads and wires
Soldering Safety • Keep the power cord away from the soldering iron when it’s HOT!
Soldering Safety • AVOID REACHING ACROSS the soldering iron when it is plugged into the power outlet
Soldering Safety • Avoid breathing in or getting the solder fumes in your eyes
Soldering Safety • NEVER TOUCH THE ELEMENT OR TIP of the soldering iron. They are very hot (about 400°C) and will burn you. • Hold wires to be heated with clamps.Keep the cleaning sponge wet during use. • Always return the soldering iron to its stand when not in use. Never put it down on your workbench. • Turn unit off or unplug it when not in use.
Soldering Safety • DO NOT TOUCH the tip of the soldering iron to any other object to melt or burn it—you will be required to pay for any items that are damaged by carelessness or deliberate fooling around!
