  4. Learning • Is it work or play? • Learning feels like play when you have engagement. Engagement equals motivation. (Marc Prensky)

  5. Visual Learners • Our students are mostly visual learners. • They see graphics before text. • The work at twitch speed. • Seeing is Learning to this generation.

  6. Why movies in the classroom? • Involves all the students. • Motivating • Engaging • Great to share learning and memories. • Works on literacy skills.

  7. What kind of movies can you make? • Photo Slideshows • Movies of Class Events • Scripted Movies • Clay or Other Characters: Gallon Man

  8. Process for Planning a Class or Group Movie • Connect the project to curriculum. • Brainstorm a topic or theme. • StoryBoard the movie. • Divide the work and distribute jobs. • Practice. • Film. • Edit. • Show.
