Students who enter the College for Working Adults will --- complete course requirements be eligible to obtain occupational certifications be eligible to receive a degree in half the average time it now takes to complete a degree at Ivy Tech.
Design Criteria Redesign curricula, sequencing, and credentials to promote completions. Link occupational outcomes with educational outcomes. Accelerate program completion (technology enhanced programs, PLA).
Target Student Populations Existing students who want to earn their degree faster. Adult/working students. New full-time students who can make a commitment to program completion.
An Opportunity for Re-thinking Educational Delivery In course design alone: Technology Enhanced Delivery--- in class/online learning Guaranteed schedule of classes for entire two years Eight-week sessions; two courses per session Designed for Cohorts Course timing and frequency of offerings --- Fall, Spring, Summer Interregional coordination – shared courses, coordination of offerings.
AND involves comprehensive support from other college functions. Advising for non-traditional students in non-standard programs. Coordination with financial aid services. Coordination with administrative services for student tracking, records, enrollment. Cohort maintenance Integrating into operational structure--Bookstores. Marketing and information!
