Professional Tutor opportunities • We are looking for Professional Tutor involvement in: • ITE Professional Knowledge for Schools interviews, from Monday 19th -23rd May. Half or whole day(s) collaborating with Curriculum Tutor. • Moderation of Professional Practice 2. Visiting another partner school with a Curriculum Tutor to co-observe a lesson and feedback. • Assessment of CS2 research presentations in collaboration with Curriculum Tutor, Monday 2nd June. • Cover paid
NQT Support • Free support programme for all NQTs • Full Day Conference Friday 24th October • Twilight lecture/workshops and subject-based seminars each half term • Sign up for M level accreditation in January 2015, through directed tasks. • M level assessment in June through portfolio of tasks.
OFSTED Inspection framework review • Two tier inspection – summer and autumn term • Engagements of schools and settings in challenging circumstance, RI, /challenge and motivate pupils / impact on teacher supply • Increasing attention to quality of trainees and NQTs - direct observation • Accuracy of assessment and information to employers and effective liaison • New overall judgement / including: management of pupil behaviour and discipline • Quality of trainees as current and new NC (curriculum makers) and examination and assessment arrangements • Code of conduct –professional dress code trainees and NQTs All inspections that take place after a revised framework is published will be under the relevant framework in place at that time • Consultation to May 6th 2014 • Implementation June 2014 www.surveymonkey.com/s/ofsted-ite2014.

Teacher Research Conferences • Monday 2nd June: ITE students present and share their Curriculum Studies 2 classroom research projects for assessment. • We are looking for Professional Tutors to support assessment of presentations. • Saturday 21st June: MAES and M Ed students present and share research from their classrooms.
University-Schools Research Partnership • Collaborative research and capacity building to create useful educational knowledge in schools. • Training two School Research Leaders (SRL) through MA E pathway. • Year 1 Wednesdays 2-7pm + twice termly Saturday schools. • Year 2 school-based research. • Pilot cohort cost: £5,325 for two year course per SRL. • Maximum capacity 10 schools.
