HEI must hold an Erasmus University Charter (EUC) • The grant may be used to visit one or more prospective partner higher education institutions or an enterprise or organisation
Help HEI to establish contacts with prospective partner institutions: • New inter-institutional agreements (notrenewals) relating to student and/or staff mobility • Erasmus Intensive Programmes • Erasmus student placements • Erasmus centralised activities such as networks, multilateral projects, accompanying measures, curriculum development
Grant for one person per visit, in exceptional cases two staff from the same institution may be funded • Only one visit per potential project will be funded.
Duration Minimum = 1 day Maximum = 5 days
Applications to be submitted to NA at least 6 weeks before the intended visit • Grant = daily subsistence allowance (Subsistence rates vary according to destination country) + travel costs
Preparatory visit grants may also be used to participate in a partner-finding "contact seminar" Details will be available at http://www.britishcouncil.org/erasmus-institutions-apply.htm
Grant = seminar fee (covers accommodation and food) + travel costs
Contact Seminars and Preparatory Visits must be pre-funded by the sending institution Payment is made, in Euro, following receipt of the visit report
Cannot receive funding for both types of activity when developing a partnership You may apply for funding for either a Contact Seminar or a Preparatory Visit
