  3. General eligibility rules • Erasmus University Charter (EUC) • Inter Institutional Agreement • Mobility grants awarded only to those who are: • Registered as a student at an institution which holds an EUC • Employed by an institution which holds an EUC

  4. Participating Countries The countries participating in the Programme in 2010/11 are: European Union Member States*: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK * Includes the following regions: Canary Islands, Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, Azores, Madeira European Economic Area States: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway Candidate Countries: Turkey, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

  9. Staff Mobility

  10. Grants and allocation Must be receipted Disability Length - 1 to 6 weeks If less than 1 week, minimum of 5 hours teaching * Shorter periods may be permitted for staff training subject to institutional justification All staff mobility must be completed by 31 July 2011 Teaching and Training

  11. Organisation of Mobility

  12. per capita grant based on scale of mobility • Supports outgoing and incoming mobility • Flexibility • No reporting • Institutional responsibility • May be subject to EC audit • If no outgoing mobility, pay-back • 10% rule

Payments • In Euros • Allocation – set monthly student grants • Funds normally paid within 45 days of receipt of signed contract from institution subject to • 2009/10 SM & TM final reports submitted to NA • No outstanding LLP debts • NA cannot accept any bank charges • must be borne by institution • Erasmus Mobility funds must be held in clearly designated account

  15. Documents for mobility • Erasmus Student Charter • Learning agreement / Training agreement • Student contract • Transcript of records • Staff mobility – teaching or work programme • Certificate of attendance

Inter-institutional agreements • Required for all mobility between HEIs* • Outline model provided in operational handbook • Signed and in place before mobility • Otherwise no deadline • Duration • Review clause • NA can help find partners * Mobility between HEI and Enterprise legally bound by individual student Training Agreement

  18. Reporting – key dates • SM Interim Report - 14 January 2011 • TM Interim Report - 18 February 2011 • SM and TM Final Report - 31 July 2011 • All written reports - • - student • - teacher • - staff training - 30 September 2011

  19. Reporting – basics • Make sure you collect information according to data fields (see Annexes in handbook) • Standard procedure – follow the instructions! • If you have problems contact the office • Importance of Interim Report – include all data ** RESPECT THE DEADLINES **

Signatures • Mobility Contract : Head of Institution (or authorised signatory) – June to September • Receipts from Interim and Final Reports : Erasmus coordinator • Supplementary Mobility Contract : Head of Institution (or authorised signatory) – March to May • Statement of Expenditure from Final Reports : Head of Institution, Head of Finance (or authorised signatory) – August to September
