HFHI Update on Recent Activities National Level DR³ Capacity Building in Europe and Central Asia • $150K grant; 7 months; work with HFH orgs. in 4 disaster-prone areas: Romania, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan • Consultant worked with national organizations to align practices and develop Core Products and Resource Centers • HFH DRᶟ workshop held for reps of four national level orgs. in Bucharest to consolidate knowledge • For info contact Nurlan at nmoldosherip@habitat.org

Working group in PASSA Workshop in the Dominican Republic HFHI Update on Recent Activities IFRC’s Participatory Approach to Safe Shelter Awareness (PASSA) Methodology in LAC • Trained staff Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras • Carried out PASSA over two month period in five communities in the five countries • Created baseline of risks and communities’ identified needs • Action plans included: repairs, retrofits, settlement level mitigation, land planning, preparedness & response training, advocacy • For info contact Mario at mflores@habitat.org Working group in PASSA Workshop in Guatemala
