2. Labour market training - Vocational Training • MLSW has a network of 8 Vocational Training Centers with 82 training officers including supporting staff. • In 2008, a total of 2304 candidates passed through vocational training centers, • Modular training system based on the individual needs, • 3000 pages of training and learning material, • Target groups: Priority is given to unskilled and semiskilled unemployed youth (16-24 age group). • In-company training
3. Direct job creation through labour intensive public work projects • Short-term labour intensive employment creation programmes are implemented in partnership with the concerned municipalities. • These programmes provide short-term employment for unskilled unemployed persons registered in Employment offices • Target group: Long-term unskilled unemployed
4. Employment Subsidies • Provides employment assistance (50% of total wage not more than Euros 100/month) to private companies or other institutions that require manpower trained through the existing vocational training centres programme. • Links between vocational training and labour market • In 2008, 1127 job seekers assisted, • Target group: youth trained through vocational training centres
