This week we have … Enjoyed our maths week.
E N D
This week we have… • Enjoyed our maths week. • Arts and Crafts/Cookery: made sandwiches, cut into different shapes, potato printed different shapes, made glittery numbers, rolled playdough snakes and looked at the longest, biggest, thinnest etc, looked for and cut out numbers from magazines to make number pictures • Music and Movement: This week Sarah brought her clarinet in and a good few children managed to make a good noise. The children are really enjoying seeing the instruments. This week we have been singing “10 green bottles”. We have had lots of birthdays recently so we have been playing “party games”, such as musical bumps. We have also used balls a lot in the garden, throwing, catching, kicking and rolling. • Next week… • Next week we are talking about the weather, so if any children have any relevant storybooks, or “props” such as umbrellas that they would like to bring in, we’d love to see them. • French Club - Term begins Monday 7th October 9.30am (please speak to Julie if you require further details). • Notices/Dates: • Just a reminder that the school registration for September 2014 is now open. • Could you please try not to send your children in to preschool wearing tights on a Tuesday morning as the time needed to change in and out of them is eating into our PE session! We do PE in bare feet, so short socks with leggings or trousers would be much appreciated – thank you! • 2 Year Checks – if you have questionnaires completed by your health visitor when your child turned 2, could you please bring them in for us to photocopy and keep on file. This is an Ofsted requirement. Thank you. • Thurs 17thOctober: 2-4pm Tempest Photography are coming in to take professional family photos. A sign up sheet is on the door onto the decking. • Show and Tell: Letter of the week next week is “D,d”. • From the Committee: • Many thanks again to all who came to the Working Garden Party • Wed 16th October: AGM. Drinks at 7.45 for 8pm start. Please come along to find out more about how the preschool runs This Week At Allsorts30/09/2013
