“Radio calisthenics” (“Radio Taiso” in Japanese) is a popular warm-up exercise in Japan. It is widely practiced, as it has been broadcast for decades on Japan’s national radio and television stations (NHK) at 6:30 every morning. It is also used at schools and by some companies in order to raise energy levels and stretch before starting the day.
