Past Conditions • Conditions Rapidly Deteriorating today • Burrwood NOAA C-man - East 100kt gust 120 kt • New Orleans Armstrong Int’l Airport • NE 60 kt gust 85 kt in squall , 5 inches of rain today. • Tides 6 to 10 feet above normal east side of Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parishes. • Tides 8 to 10 feet above normal at Grand Isle. • Tides 6 to 9 feet above normal in Lake Pontchartrain. • F2 tornadoes occurred in Slidell near Camp Villere and in Kentwood.
Conditions Expected Tonight • Most extreme weather conditions will occur during over night hours • Winds of 100 to 120 mph likely. • Peak values of storm surge will occur • Widespread life threatening storm surge flooding likely with overtopping of levees possible. • Tornadoes likely.
