Home Businesses 4.1 Home businesses regulated and restricted, Requires a permit and you may be denied Requires a fee for the application If denied, the appeal fee is $650 Only residents of that home may be engaged in the business on the premises Signs restricted Traffic restricted No changes to exterior of home that changes residential characteristics

Landscape Landscape lighting is regulated and restricted (2-2 I) Holiday lighting also restricted (2-2 I) E.g. you cannot have a bulb of more than 50 watts (with certain limited exceptions) Pools must be fenced (4.3.2) Natural Stockpiles (e.g. firewood) is restricted for amount and duration (4.19)

Tree Cutting Applies to all lots with some exceptions – see Permit Application Cutting any tree on your property requires approval, a permit ($50 fee) & replacement No driveway can be within 50 feet of canopy tree (3.1) Must have site walk- thru with member of planning board (1.5) Must pay for arborist to ensure compliance (1.5) Tree topping is also regulated (4.1) Violation is $500 + $50 per day per offense

    6. Violations Violation of an ordinance is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail! (1.5) Fine up to $500 (1.5) Includes violation of Lighting Ordinance (7-1)

    7. Cost of Appeal If your permit is denied and you appeal, the fee is $650 and you might lose! Appeals Board consists of 5 people appointed by Village Council (11.1.2)
