Achievements • Through focused group discussion and site survey, participants were able to provide inputs for the basic concepts of the exercise and HCA activities • Potential location for CPX, FTX and HCA have been identified through Site Survey in Padang and Mentawai Islands. • Initial identification of exercise materials have been undertaken through FGDs and international partners are most welcome to send their additional inputs through the contact persons from each Working Group

Achievements (cont.) • Initial identification of required facilities (e.g., for command posts, EOC, etc), logistics and equipment for the Exercise. • Common understanding among participant about the exercises and activities that will be conducted through the implementation of CPX, FTX and HCA in March 2014

Way Forward • International partners are encouraged to send their additional inputs for CPX, FTX, HCA and Community Evacuation concepts through the contact persons from each Working Group via email. • Enlisting exercise materials have been initiated and the list will be used to develop the Master of Scenario Event List; Further inputs are encouraged,especially by looking at the lessons learned or results of AAR from previous disaster relief exercises or real disaster response situation (e.g., CPX WG recalled some lessons learned from West Sumatra EQ in 2009)

Way Forward (cont.) • More detailed and comprehensive identification of required facilities, logistics, equipment, etc. in locations where CPX, FTX, Community Evacuation and HCA will be undertaken, must be completed. • Supporting team, namely sub-working group responsible to establish the facilities & system for the Command Posts and emergency telecommunication, EOCs, etc, have been established, involving line ministries, private sector, NGOs, international organizations such as Pacific Disaster Center, AIFDR, UNOCHA. GoI welcomes the participation of various stakeholders for the provision of such supports. • Participation of ASEAN member states, EAS non-ASEAN participating countries, AHA Center, international organizations, etc are encouraged;

Way Forward (cont.) • Follow up communication will be pursued by GoI through MOFA. • GoI will send the report from the CDC & IPC to all ASEAN member states, EAS non-ASEAN participating countries and relevant international organizations, along with forms that they can fill in to indicate their interest of participation • During Final Planning Conference in January 2014, it is expected that each country/organization can provide more detailed on their participant, such as: • Planner/Controller • Player • Observer • After Action Review • Planned resources to be mobilized (FTX)
