  9. The Crucible: • The word “crucible” means a “severe test.” • Using what you saw in the video and read in the intro… • withyour partner, predict what might be a “severe test” for the townspeople of Salem, Massachusetts.

  10. Number a scrap paper 1-8 If you like the statement and would like to live by it, put a smiley face next to the number . If you would not like to live by the statement, put a sad face next to it.  • I would like to read the Bible every day. • Work and chores are more important than fun. • Too much fun is dangerous. • Dancing is a sin. • Our religion needs to be purified. • The church should have more power in our society. • Christmas should not be celebrated because it’s not in the Bible • We should follow exactly what the Bible tells us to do. • I believe God knows ahead of time whether we are going to Heaven or Hell, and there is nothing we can do about it.

Based on this definition, what do you honestly think your engagement grade should be? Why do you think this is so?
