  2. The athletes gather in a circle to take the auspices.

  3. After the favorable appearance of a crow, a sparrow, a rabbit, and a gnat all coming from the right, the games proceed.

  4. The Costume Contest: Dido, a teen from a Roman comedy, Socrates, and Heraclitus

  5. Pierce, in second place as Socrates, is about to drink his cup of hemlock.

  6. He looks on while Emily Marie as Dido, in first place, stabs herself and faints.

  7. A Re-Enactment of the East Pediment of the Parthenon: The Birth of Athena from the Head of Zeus The Fates spin their threads on the left, while the Graces dance around Apollo on the right.

  8. The Friscus (Frisbee Discus) Throw: first place, Martin of Miletus; second place, Nathaniel of Carthage.

  9. Poetry Declamation Contest

  10. Martin, in first place for the Latin category, declaims an ode of Horace.

  11. In second place for the Latin category, a chorus recites Horace’s Persicos odi.

  12. Pierce, in second place for the English category, performs some rap.

  13. Emily Marie, in first place for the English category, recites a speech of Dido from the Aeneid

  14. Go! Thy flight no longer, I detain!

  15. The Spartan Relay: Four teams race to collect candy from piles jealously guarded by these armed priests.

  16. The winning team members with their prizes.

  17. Tug of War: Classicists….

  18. vs. Historians.

  19. The Classicists are victorious.

  20. The games conclude with good will on both sides, as well as with pita bread, feta cheese, and Greek yoghurt.
