3. Strained Doctor- Society Relations:A Serious Reality • Increasing attacks on doctors • Rates beyond means. Approx. 6.3 Cr. people are forced Below Poverty Line every year due to medical expenses • Unregulated private medical services, unnecessary investigations, procedures and operations for profits • Inadequate and inequitably distributed Govt. healthcare • Entry of Corporate Hospitals • Increased consumerism even in patients

4. Only Long Term Solution: Universal Health Care A system where: • No Monetary Transaction between doctor and patient • An Independent Entity for paying doctors • Government services are Prime and Healthy Ex. Canada, England, and even countries like Thailand

5. UHC: A Distant DreamWhat till then? Good Doctors need support form society. Mature patients need ethical doctors. Need of : • Putting pressure on Medical profession and Govt. • Creating awareness about unethical practices in society • Counseling of waylaid patients
