The trust has embraced these methodologies and in partnership with VMI, they have developed new initiatives within the hospital. • This model to create the Transforming Care Institute (TCI). 10. Key findings

  11. How do we compare? In March 2017 the CQC published a report on the findings from its first round of acute and specialist hospital trust inspections. This is the first time such a focused national analysis has been possible, following the introduction of CQC's new comprehensive inspection programme in 2013. Since then, CQC has completed inspections of all 136 acute non-specialist and all 18 specialist trusts. NB These ratings are for hospital sites and hospital Trusts. The 2 outstanding ratings are for Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (as a hospital Trust) and for Frimley Park Hospital (as a hospital site). 11

  12. What are the main positive messages? (1) 12 This is a CARING organisation, with every service being rated as GOOD for Caring.

  13. What are the main positive messages? (2) CQC’s Chief Inspector of Hospitals, Professor Ted Baker 13 “Our inspectors found a number of improvements had been made at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust since our last inspection, and staff are to be commended for this. “End of life care services had made significant progress and we noted a positive change in culture among staff and leaders at the trust. The change in ratings in a number of areas acknowledges what has been achieved by the trust’s staff and leadership team and we found several examples of outstanding practice.”
