  4. Flip your paper over... • With a partner work on the three compromise situations. . .

  5. Speeches… • Objective: Take a stance on slavery, are you pro-slavery or anti-slavery ---NOTE ON CONTENT MATERIAL--- 3 Levels of Discussion: • Opinions • Facts • Beliefs **We always discuss on levels 1 and 2 but leave 3 alone**

  6. You will be graded on … • Length: 1-3 minutes (5 points) • Facts: You will hand me your speech (typed) (20 points) • Presentation: Based on Mr. Johnson’s 6 factors (15 points) • Flow: Very little umms and ughs (5 points) • Argument: Did you convince Mr. A? (15 points) • Total of 60 points!!!!!!!

  8. That Being said: • All typed Speeches will be given to me by Monday 9/26 in the beginning of every class, NO EXCEPTIONS, if you will be absent send me an email!!!!!!! • Email: jardele1@asu.edu • Failure to due this will result in the loss of the 20 points in the facts section.
