ClearWater Tech LLC EcoTex - Advanced Laundry Oxidation Systems Installation
Overview • Equipment Placement • Pneumatic • Electrical • Safety
Equipment Placement • With service in mind • Where operational indicators can be observed and adjusted • Close to a main power source • Keep units out of extreme humidity and heat
Equipment Placement - continued • Typical location is behind washers • O3 is wall mounted - as close to washer(s) as possible • O2 can be floor or wall mounted - must specify when ordering. Mount as close to O3as possible
Pneumatics - Oxygen • Designed to use one oxygen concentrator for up to four washers • Oxygen concentrator is powered and controlled by the EcoTex ozone generator
Pneumatics - Ozone Ozone’s Point-of-Entry to Washer Options: • Existing steam port or other threaded port available in washer sump • Drain line between sump and solenoid • Direct sump connection • Washer’s atmospheric water fill line (if delivered directly to sump)
Pneumatics - Ozone - continued • Steam Port Connection • Remove plug • Install bushing (field provided) and 1/4 inch kynar compression fitting Steam Port
Pneumatics - Ozone - continued • Drain Line • Source 3 or 4 inch PVC pipe depending on unit • Cut to six (6) inches in length • Drill 3/4 inch hole and use fitting provided • Attach with couplers and stainless steal clamps (field provided)
Pneumatics - Ozone - continued • Direct sump connection • Drill 3/4” hole in sump - Be Careful!! • Use water tight ozone-resistant fitting supplied Washer Sump
Pneumatics - Ozone - continued • Atmospheric Water Fill Line • Feed ozone line into water fill line to sump Water Fill Line
Pneumatics - Ozone - continued • Attach O3 line • Run line out of harms way • Be aware of vibrations • Use grommets when necessary • O2 delivery line or flex conduit can be slid over tube for protection, if so desired.
Electrical • Main Power • 120/240, 50/60Hz, Single Phase • Voltage source: Washer or dedicated power • O2concentrator must match O3 main power supplied (O2system is power by O3 generator) • Operating Multiple Ozone Generators • Use one O3 generator as a master, with up to four generators slaved. • The Laundry Control Board (LCB) design allows for the use of one O2concentrator and one Ambient Ozone Monitor/Controller, to operate with all four generators. ON
Electrical - Control Signal - continued • How do you start this thing? • Use chemical signals • Use power from drain line solenoid valve • Washer’s water level pressure switch
Electrical- Control Signal - continuedChemical Signal • Use one of the chemical control signals and program the washer accordingly • All washers are slightly different in the way the delivery chemical signal functions • Work with laundry supplier to identify and program appropriate signal
Electrical- Control Signal - continuedDrain Line Solenoid Valve (DLSV) • Attach signal wire to DLSV. Typically 240VAC, maybe 120VAC or DC voltage) • Any time the DLSV has power, it will signal the EcoTex unit to initiate ozone production • Use built-in time delay on EcoTex circuit board to delay ozone production, as required DLSV
Electrical- Control Signal - ContinuedWater Level Pressure Switch (WLPS) • Attach signal wire to WLPS. This may be power or a dry contact. • When the WLPS has met water level the switch will close, it will signal the EcoTex unit to initiate ozone production • Use built-in time delay on EcoTex circuit board to delay ozone production, as required
SafetyAmbient Ozone Monitor/Controller • Sensor will signal EcoTex unit(s) and shut them down if ambient ozone levels exceed set point • Set sensor according to directions provided • Wire sensor according to directions provided • Mount sensor on the wall CautionOzone Gas
Start Up • Set Oxygen Concentrator Flow • Apply Power to EcoTex system • Observe indicating lights • Enter New Ozone Cycle Formulas • Start wash load • Adjust manual ozone output - based on washer size • Adjust EcoTex cell pressure and oxygen gas flow rate • Final pnuematic check for leaks • Perform titration tests to insure proper wash chemistry for each new wash formulas • Check washer for water leaks
