  1. What Jessica Learned in CSE3 Spring 2010 Scratch is a computer program which we utilized to understand the basics of programming, such as for loops. With this program, we were able to do several things. Spell out the course name, program a ping pong game and also a tic-tac-toe game. This uses basic programming language that it helps the users to be more familiar with the programming process. We often analyzed different kinds of data in labs, and by manipulating the data in Excel, we extracted information from that data and made conclusions about that particular data. In CSE3 we worked with basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel), visual programming (Scratch), HTML (homepage), altering images (Photoshop), etc. The purpose of this class is for us to gain a deeper understanding of IT (Information Technology), to be able to navigate computers easier VISUAL PROGRAMING WITH SCRATCH OVERVIEW DATA ANALYSIS AND VISUALIZATION WITH EXCEL Powerpointand Word are very powerful tools, and it is very beneficial to know how to navigate through those programs. In labs, we explored how to fully utilize those tools other than just writing essays or making boring presentations. PRESENTATION OF INFORMATION WITH WORD AND POWERPOINT It can be used to algorithmically solve complicated problems of scale. Computational thinking is often used to solve problems of efficiency and to realize large improvements in efficiency through novel approaches to problem solving. A new way of thinking that is mostly done through computers. We used Photoshop in the last part of the quarter to manipulate images, to hide messages in pictures, touching up pictures and creating a gif.
