English language courses 48 students attended English language courses. 3 groups were formed per 2 years. 2 groups were for beginners and the other 1 group for advanced students. Students in each group attended 40 hour classes. Firstly,we collected data about the target group. Therefore questionnaires were applied to groups of unemployed, retired people and also to some of our students.
People that attended English language courses: • Unemployed • Students • Community members that currently work, but are looking for another job or want to improve their language skills. • All active community members that have need to improve their language knowledge.
Firstly we organized first meeting for all the students and tried to establish the needs of each individual therefore we divided the group into two subgroups according to their level of English. The purpose of the courses was to help the people in our target group to find a job on the internet, to be able to start or carry out a conversation in English, to fill in an application form, complete a CV form, or write a letter of application in English. The intensive English language learning courses were held twice a week and each student was given written materials and useful information. At the end of the courses the students were given participating certificates.
Italian language courses 12 students attended Italian language courses. 1 group was formed. The courses took place from December, 2010 till May 2011. Students attended 40 hour classes. As far as our target group declared they would like to attend Italian/ Spanish or other language courses we found the teacher, that were able teach Italian.
The purpose of the courses was to help the people in our target group to be able to start or carry out a conversation in Italian, to fill in an application form, complete a CV form, or write a letter of application in Italian. Most of the student had knowledge in any other foreign language( English, german, russian), but they wanted to gain basic skills in Italian and while looking for enother job they could improve their CV form and to get a bigger chanse in finding new possition. Italian language learning courses were held once a week and each student was given written materials and useful information. At the end of the courses the students were given participating certificates.
IT courses Firstly we organized first meeting for all the students and tried to establish the needs of each individual and consequently we divided the group into two subgroups according to their level of English and PC skills. The purpose of the courses was to help the people in our target group to find a job on the internet, to fill in an application form, complete a CV form, to use different seach engines, basics of MS Word, power poin, Excel . The courses were held once a wee. At the end of the courses, the students were given participating certificates.
Flower arrangement workshops, painting on glass and dance classes Some our community members volunteered to share their experience in dancing, painting on glass and making flower arrangements with the others. Therefore free workshops and classes were organized. It gave the opportunityfor everyone to learn something new or it was just a possibility to keeppeoplebusy.
Therefore we organized dance, painting on glassclasses and flower arrangement workshops which gave possibility for everyone to learn something new or possibly to learn new and to relate it with their future job.
