Image Of Food • If you want to see a picture of a food from a food group: 1. On the choosemyplate.gov home page, around the upper left-hand corner, click the tab labeled MyPlate. 2. Click on desired food group(ex. Fruits). then click on a blue word(ex. Apple). 3. Another program should pop up showing the food you’ve selected. 4. To close it, just click on the close button.
Physical activity • In the same area where you found the other tab, click on the third tab labeled Physical Activity. • When you arrive to the page you will find 5 options. Lets click on the third one, How much is needed?. • When you click on it you find yourself in a page that tells how much physical activity people need according to their relative age.
Tips on Physical Activity • Form that page, on the left, you will find 5 links. • If you click on the last one , you’ll get to a page with tips on increasing physical activity at home, at work, and at play. • For example, mow the lawn with a push mower and involve the whole family.
Solid Fats Chart. • Click on the fourth tab near the top. • On the side there will be a list of links. Click the one labeled solid fats chart. • Click on the link on the new page and a new tab with a chart should show up. This is the solid fats charts, which includes the food, amount, estimatedtotal calories, and Estimated Empty Calories (calories from solid fats and added sugars).
