  4. Are you a good Citizen? cit·i·zen·ship   (s t -z n-sh p )   • The status of a citizen with its attendant duties, rights, and privileges.

  5. HOW TO BE A GOOD CITIZEN • Do your share to make your school, community, and the world a better place • Follow the rules of your family, your school, and your society • Take responsibility for what goes on around you • Get involved and participate in community affairs

  6. HOW TO BE A GOOD CITIZEN • Protect the environment • Treat people with respect and authority • Stay informed; VOTE • Be a good neighbor • Obey laws and rules

  7. Are you a good Citizen? Discussion • Think of three people in your community who are good citizens. Why? • What famous African American do you feel is or was a good citizen? • How can you be a better citizen?

  8. Are you a good Citizen? Assignment • You will create your own PowerPoint presentation titled, “I am a good Citizen”. You will share this information with your classmates.
