  1. MARIST COLLEGE DANCE ENSEMBLE! Welcome back

  2. When and where is the show? • November 23rd at 4:30pm, November 24th at 2:oopm • Show will be at Poughkeepsie High School • Rehearsal week is the week before the show, practice every night (one night off) • MANDATORY • Dress rehearsal the Friday night before the show

  3. Signing Up For Classes • Dances will be posted on our website by Wednesday • Choose dances that you like, fit your level AND that fit your schedule • Email your prospective choreographers on Friday, September 13th at 7:00pm (hint: don’t use foxmail) • Choreographers must get back to you by Saturday 10:00pm • Email the choreographer again if you do not hear back from them • If you don’t get into any dances please email club account • I will find at least 1 dance for everyone to be in

  4. What to do if I can’t make a meeting or class… • You are allowed to miss ONE meeting • You do not have to tell us you are going to miss it or why • If the meeting is at 9:30 and • You have dance at 9:00pm come after • You have dance at 10:00pm come before • Missing dance class • You can miss 2 classes, then it is up to the choreographer whether or not to ask you to leave

  5. Receiving Club Emails • Email the club account • Danceensemble.club@marist.edu • Put MCDE FALL in the “Subject” • You will be put on the email list to receive club emails throughout the semester

  6. Executive Board 2013-2014

  7. President • Oversee actions of entire club • Determine dates of activities • Choreographer auditions • Liaison between members and Marist community Dana Murano

  8. Vice President • Priority Points • Attend 2/3 meetings (1 point) • 3 community service opportunities or committees (1 point) • Changes for next semester • Puts together and approves music for show and works with MCTV • Approves all costume decisions • Helps with auditions and is the liaison between the choreographers and the executive board Deanna Clark

  9. Secretary • Hello from London! • Liaison between executive board and members • Sends emails and updates to members • Go to if not receiving emails Trina Cardamone

  10. Treasurer • Responsible for financial records of the club • In charge of allocations and budget • Handles all matters regarding club expenses Kelsie Sprague

  11. Show Committee Manager • Oversees all vendors at the show • Responsible for Show Committee (PRIORITY POINT OPPORTUNITY) • In charge of apparel and ticket sales • Apparel sale dates: October 9th, 10th, and 15th Jaclyn Navarro

  14. Community Service Manager • Researches and finds events for community service opportunities (PRIORITY POINT OPPORTUNITIES) • Finds organizations for the 50/50 donation Anna Carbone

  18. Dancing to End Dating Violence • Event co-sponsored with Heart1 • Tentative Date: October 16th 11-2pm • Sponsor forms

  19. Light the Night Walk • Dance performance opportunity • October 19th around 5/6pm (mid-semester break) • If you will be around for mid-semester break and want to do this, email dana.murano1@gmail.com by TUESDAY at 2:00pm

  20. Family Weekend • Performance opportunity • September 28th 6/7pm • Dance at the family weekend concert • Email DanceEnsemble.club@marist.edu by Wednesday 5pm
