Graduation Requirements • 230 Credits needed to graduate • 150 of those need to be A-G credits • Pass the CAHSEE • 40 Hours of Community Service
Academic Expectations • Come to class fully prepared • Participate in lessons • Attend school every day • Be in compliance with dress code
Uniform Policy • Shirt color depends on grade level • 9th= White • 10th= Blue • 11th=Gray • 12th= Black • Shirts must remain tucked in while on school grounds • Undershirts must be white/black/gray • Black Slacks/Shorts (NO Leggings) • Jackets/Coats/Sweaters must have our school logo • Socks, belts, laces, and shoes must be black, white, or gray • NO hats!
Uniform Violations 1st offense= Phone call home to request uniform from P/G. Assist with attire for the school day 2nd offense=Phone call home to P/G and conference with the Assistant Principal- 1 hour of detention 3rd offense=P/G notified- mandatory conference-Detention for 3 days and behavior contract is initiated.
Free Dress • Allowed to wear jeans (must not be torn) • No Skirts • Tops cannot promote drugs, alcoholic beverages, taverns, offense activities • Cannot wear clothes that is sexually suggestive or fails to conceal undergarments, back, abdomen, or cleavage. • Gang attire will NOT be allowed • Sandals are not permitted • No hats
Friday Attire • Students are allowed to wear jeans on Fridays only if accompanied by a college shirt or a school spirit shirt • Khaki shorts are NOT allowed!!!
Attendance & Tardies • School starts at 7:40am EVERYDAY (Even Wednesday) • Absences must be verified by office personnel • 10 unverified absences in one semester or 15 in the past 12 months will be referred to the Student Attendance Review Board • To avoid being tardy be in your seat when the bell rings
Cellular Phones • We recommend that you don’t bring electronic devices to school • Cell must be kept be stored away and either turned off or with the volume off. • Phones will be confiscated if seen by a teacher/administrator • Parents will be expected to pick up all cell phones that are confiscated
Violations of Internet Usage • 1st offense- P/G notified, Student/teacher conference, loss of computer use for 1 day • 2nd offense- P/G notified, parent conference, 2 days of detention, 2 hours of service • 3rd offense- Parent conference, behavior contract initiated, 3 days of detention, 4 hours of service
Damage to Property • Students are responsible for any school property that they damage • Students will get billed for damaging school property and expected to pay the full amount
Service Hours & Detentions • Detentions will be held every Wednesday from 1:30-2:30 • Service hours will no longer be served during lunch or nutrition • Service hours must be completed before or after school and must be signed off by a staff member
