Exercise: “OPPOSITES DETRACT” In Table Groups … 1. Review your assigned strategy/strategies and identify what opposite behaviors would look like. Then, 2. List the various impacts those opposite behaviors would have on people within the organization. Finally, 3. Select someone to present your opposite behaviors and their impacts to the entire group. 9 minutes.

Work together to draw a caricature of a courageous leader – with physical attributes, clothes, tools, equipment, etc. that depict the characteristics and behaviors of the leader. HAVE FUN! Then, 2. Select someone to present and explain your flip- chart drawing to the entire group. 5 minutes.

Review the LEADERSHIP COURAGE Table of Contents page and identify the two (of 11) strategies/behaviors that you feel you need to improve upon the most. Then, 2. For each of the two areas you selected, write down 2-3 things you will do – starting today – to improve your performance. 7 minutes.
