  2. As much as we’d like it to be true… …people don’t automagically change

  3. Changing is our choice After all… We don’t like being told what to do… and will resist We’re irrational thinkers, emotional decision makers We’re human, not computers So what can you do to influence change?

  4. BEFORE your rollout: Lay the foundation 1 2 3 Walk a mile in your users’ shoes Understand personas, use case scenarios and value messaging Assess change capacity Avoid introducing too much change at once Reduce “watercooler” chat Communicate before the first sign of the change

  5. DURING your rollout: Generate momentum 1 2 3 Leverage the change “trifecta” Utilize multiple methods of awareness-training-support to drive change Enlist peer champions Create your cheering squad to help evangelize Teams Make change manageable Introduce relatable, core capabilities first

  6. AFTER your rollout: Grow adoption 1 2 3 Nurture and cultivate Create feedback loop, foster community, lead by example Shine the spotlight Maintain excitement with new features and success stories Evolve and expand Plan ahead for product innovations (technical and user)
