Program Management Plan • All PIs will sign • Based on those of GOAIERP & BSIERP • Next draft: developed by project team & Science Coordinating Team • Include data sharing policy: guiding philosophy is that monitoring data should be made available quickly • Coordinated meeting schedule; reporting requirements (how to handle projects funded by consortia) • Consistent w/EVOS policies
Data Management • Use AOOS Ocean Portal and Ocean Workspace as primary project working platform • Need to know what additional functionality (e.g., import existing metadata, folder for historic/legacy data) – Heather Coletti & Angie Doroff • Project page on AOOS website: post meeting summaries, presentations, PI/project profiles • NCEAS: integrate w/Dataone; data salvage – need prioritization; integrate w/HRM • Leverage Franz Muetter/GOAIERP data salvage
Science Program • Environmental Drivers – 5 projects • Pelagic – 5 main projects; 1 bird synthesis • Benthic – 2 main projects • Lingering oil – 2 main projects Need to leverage with HRM; GOAIERP; AOOS; NPS SWAN; other PWSSC Mark Zimmerman – GOA habitat mapping Carol Ladd – pattern analysis by March 2012
Conceptual Modeling • Purpose: Tool/framework for outreach, future planning, not numerical model • Tuula: document existing models used by PIs or they’re aware of • Tuula: develop some possible conceptual models for project
Follow-up • Program Mgmt Plan • Data sharing policy • ID project science review team • Meeting at AMSS Wed 6-8 pm tentative: data salvage priorities; • Work out schedule of synthesis workshops • Develop key questions for NCEAS synthesis • Identify data gaps • Outreach & community involvement plan • Website: like Arctic assets map; coordinate ship schedules/researcher availability
