USCG LMR Enforcement Report May-August 2012 • On 05MAY CGC MATINICUS boarded two recreational fishing vessels targeting reef fish in the Mona Passage. • On 24JUN a boarding team from STA San Juan onboard a SPC-LE completed three fishery boardings on recreational vessels targeting HMS IVO Boqueron, PR. • On 19JUL a boarding team from USCGC REEF SHARK completed two boardings on commercial lobster fishing vessels IVO of St. Thomas. • On 20JUL Sector San Juan sent a three member team to San Juan Bay Marina and a local fish market to discuss fishing trends and distribute business cards. • On 26JUL a boarding team from STA San Juan onboard a RMB completed two fishery boardings on recreational vessels targeting HMS in San Juan Bay. • On 13Aug USCGC REEF SHARK conducted a patrol of the Hind Bank Marine Conservation District. On 15Aug, USCGC FARALLON conducted a patrol of the Hind Bank Marine Conservation District. No vessel sightings were reported. • On 20Aug-23Aug, the South East Regional Fishery Training Center hosted its inaugural resident Caribbean LMR BO course with 12 scheduled attendees. Two CG members from STX and two member from STT attended.
