USCG LMR Enforcement Report April to June 2011 • Total LMR Boarding’s: 15 • CG Aux Air Patrol: Flew 106.1 hrs in support of LE/LMR Missions Operations completed: • On June 9th, DRNA and Station SJ completed a joint op in the area of Salinas (S PR). This op focused on fishing vessel documentation/registration as well as the illegal discharge of waste within state waters. • On June 10, Station SJ conducted LMR boarding's on the west coast of PR in conjunction with CGC Farallon and Civil Air Patrol flying overhead. They completed 07 fisheries boarding’s and 01 recreational boating safety (RBS) boarding. No fishing violations were found. • On June 11-12, CGC Cushing patrolled out east in the area of the Hind Bank Marine Conservation District and the Mutton Snapper Spawning Aggregation Area with CG Aux Air providing air support. Only 01 LMR/Fishery boarding was completed with no fishing violations found. International LMR enforcement: • In April, the CGC Farallon conducted an LMR boarding on the F/V Mr Jessi, a Dominican F/V located in Bahamian waters. The action was conducted with a Royal Bahamian Defense Force (RBDF) ship rider on board, under CGC Mohawk TACON at the time of transit from St. Petersburg to San Juan.. No USCG violations were issued and the case was later handed off to Bahamian officials for disposition.
