Purpose and structure • Day 1: WISE and INSPIRE, • Other new developments • Issues to decide / comment for the spatial data interest • community (SDIC) on water • WISE reference data sets • Proposal for visualisation of WFD data in WISE • Reporting schemas for river basin management plans
Purpose and structure • Day 2: WISE GIS guidance • Introduction • Conceptual issues • Technical part (reference data, GIS layers, coding, metadata) • Next steps • Available draft material will be presented and put up for discussion.
Expectations • Exchange and discussion of status and future on distributed water information systems • Input to a concept for the archtitecture of the WISE distributed system (First version to be developed in 2008) • Architecture will be developed and implemented along the preparation for the river basin management plan reporting until 2010 • Operational distributed elements implemented with interested Member States by 2010 • Fully distributed system available by 2015
Expectations • WISE spatial data interest community (SDIC) / INSPIRE linkages • Clarification on working principles and time schedules • Input to the INSPIRE process on water issues by Member States • Adoption of INSPIRE principles in WISE developments • Relation to WISE GIS guidance • Agreement on priority actions
