  2. Las siguientes diapositivas resumen las principales propiedades de las potencias de base real (R) y exponente entero.(Z)Sean:

  3. Para multiplicar potencias de igual base, se conserva la base y se suman los exponentes.

  4. Para dividir potencias de igual base, se conserva la base y se restan los exponentes.

  5. Para elevar una potencia a potencia, se conserva la base y se multiplican los exponentes.

  6. Toda potencia de exponente negativo es igual al valor recíproco de la base elevada al mismo exponente, pero positivo.

  7. Toda potencia de exponente cero es igual a 1.

  8. Para elevar un producto a potencia, se eleva cada factor al exponente común.

  9. Para elevar un cuociente a potencia, se eleva cada elemento al exponente común.
