  4. Preparing for Professional Success • Career Pathways Program • Self-Assessment of Career Interests • Resume Development • Job Interview Practice • Required for graduation • Takes about 12 hours total…to be completed in your first semester here • Visit the ASB Career Services office ASB-513

ASB GPA Requirement • GPA 2.5 or better at previous school AND 48 credits or more…you’re in! • If you’re transferring in more than 48 credits and your GPA was between 2.3 and 2.5, you need to get a 2.5 GPA or better in your first 16 credits here • If you’re transferring in less than 48 credits, you’ll need a 2.5 GPA when you reach 48 credits

  6. Strategies for Success • Study! (two hours of studying per hour of class) • Keep your schedule manageable • Talk to your professors, advisor, dean • Use the Center for Reading & Writing • Find a tutor • Add/drop (1/23); withdrawal (4/7)

  7. Off-Campus Study • Residency requirement: last 32 credits must be taken here • Courses taken at two-year school cannot count as 300- or 400-level courses here • Students with 65 credits or more can only take courses at four-year schools • BEFORE you register for an off-campus course, get it approved: Off-Campus Study Request Form

  8. Get Involved in ASB • Alpha Kappa Psi (co-ed business fraternity) • ENACTUS (community service organization) • Investment Club • Consulting Club • Other clubs and organizations by major
