Preferred Options - contents Primarily policy document: • Core policies • Promotional role in commitment to raise awareness about waste issues • Nature of facilities – visual impact, design, noise, odour etc; • Locational criteria • Identifies potential sites
Sites Need to make provision for: • Range of facilities • Range of scales • Encourage co-location And • Without being prescriptive about technology

Central Cornwall Energy fromWaste Facility • Locational factors; road & rail, heat consumers, grid connection, central • 108km2 • 4-5ha site required • 46 potential sites examined within, or close to, the Central Cornwall Area of Search
Central Cornwall Energy from Waste Facility - Each site assessed and weighted against a number of criteria including; - Number of sensitive receptors - Rail & road access - Landscape/visual impact - Land classification - Power/heat consumption - Ecology - Archaeology - Surface water drainage & flooding
