  2. Vision • To be the Key Partner to achieve development effectiveness Mission • To function as the National Focal Point for monitoring and evaluation of all development policies, programmes and projects of Government to ensure results

MainFunctions of the Department • Monitoring Capital Budget of all line Ministries. • Monitoring Development Projects (Foreign and Local ) • Disseminating of evaluation findings for stake holders. • Introducing Managing for Development Results (MfDR) in line Ministries • Operating and Maintaining of the National Operations Room (NOR)

  5. Systems Capture Following Information • Foreign Funded 218 • Government Funded 525 Total 743 (as at 1st quarter 2011) • Capital Budget Monitoring System - 54 Ministries • Number of Synthesized of Evaluation Reports - 46 • Number of Agency Results Frame work (ARF) - 34 in MfDR web page

  6. These systems harmonized in to one system called INDIS. The system was developed by “Synergy International Systems Ltd”. under the UNDP TA Project. INDIS is collecting information on following components / applications. Development Projects Information Development Projects Evaluation Findings Quarterly Progress of Capital Budget Managing for Development Results (Ministry-wise/ Sector-wise) Integrated National Development Information System (INDIS) Integrated National Development Information System - 2011

INDIS is an automated Information Management System developed to • Track the progress of development projects and identify the gaps. • Provide alerts on problem areas • Assist in resolving problems/ issues/ constraints • Provide effective access to development data (on-line information – Any where – Any time) • Serve as a reliable and credible source of information. • Capture the data at source • To introduce paperless monitoring system to the Gov. Sector
