After he replies such-and-such a date, you can ask, “If I don’t hear from you by such-and-such a date, may I follow up with you by email or phone?” Of course, make sure you have his email address/phone number. • When it’s over, it’s over: Don’t keep talking when your interviewer wants to end the interview. Instead, stand when your interviewer stands and shake hands. • Successful interviews are more like a dialogue, not an interrogation or a power struggle between the interviewer and the interviewee.
