¿Recuerdas? • When the first verb in the sentence expresses uncertainty, you often put the second verb in the subjunctive. • Ex. Quiero que estudies para el examen. (yo) quiero (tú) estudies Indicative Subjunctive I want you to study for the test but I’m not certain that you will do it. note

¿Recuerdas? • Ex. Quiero que saques la basura. (yo)quiero (tú)saques IndicativeSubjunctive • If the subject of the first verb is different from the subject of the second verb, the first verb will be in the indicative (present tense) form where as the second one will be in the subjunctive form.
