  18. Each report requires different data, generally: • Course section data • Student demographic data • Enrollment data • Teacher information • Depending on your role: • Expenditures • Follow-up student lists • Survey results

Practice good data validation techniques. • Strive for accuracy, reliability, and timeliness. • Record the date when you gather data from your SMS. • Follow standard procedures for handling confidential data. • Go to the source. • Obtain data from the source “closest” to the information (i.e., ask program instructors for student enrollments). • Ask questions. • Do all course sections appear on my report? Are they accurate? • Are all instructors identified and listed? • Are my students receiving the correct segments?

  20. Set up a MEIS account. • Login to www.cteis.com. • Input instructions vary according to report. • Follow the instructional guide specific to your report. • Available online and at training sessions.

  21. Use the Data Entry menu in CTEIS. • Click “4483 Report Comp.” • Use validation tools to check your data for errors. • Review warnings; understand why they appear. • Correct errors using troubleshooting guides or the help desk. • Mark your building “complete.” • Locks your data and checks the building off your list. • Sends your information to your Fiscal Agent for review. • Fiscal Agent sends the data to the CEPD Administrator for final review. • CEPD Administrator sends the final report to OCTE.
