    2. Establishing a Sustainability and Green Procurement Program for the State of New York 2010 Procurement Forum Albany, NY May 19 & 20,2010 AUDRA scan the room. If there are empty spaces in the rows and folks are looking for seating encourage people at the ends of rows to move in to make room for others. By designating individuals as Sustainability and Green Procurement Coordinators, at each entity - the order is driven at the ground level. Many products would not be on the market if they were not at first purchased or mandated by the government. The government has the ability to actually drive the market and lower prices.     10. EO 4 Procurement Directive Audra – Annually, the Procurement Sub-committee will present three categories of products and services to the Interagency Committee. They will also identify 12 products and services in each category for which specifications will be developed. The prior year’s categories and specs will most likely be revisited as well. A list of compliant contracts will also be kept. This is currently on the Executive Order 4 website. Preferred Sources Commodities available in the form, function and utility required by affected entities must be purchased from preferred sources in the following prioritized order: Department of Correctional Services’ Correctional Industries Program. (CORCRAFT) Approved, charitable, non-profit making agencies for the blind; (Industries for the Blind of NYS) Equal priority to approved, charitable, non-profit-making agencies for the severely disabled, qualified special employment programs for mentally ill persons, and qualified veterans’ workshops.
