CHARACTERISTICS OF SPBHS • Private non-profit • Locally governed • Authorized by the CMHC Act of 1963 • Regulated under the provisions of ARSD 46:20 • Contract with SDDSS to serve target populations • Accredited by DHS • Multi-disciplinary practices • Provide 24/7 on-call crisis services

PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TELE-PSYCHIATRY WITH SAFE SCHOOLS HEALTHY STUDENT PROJECT • Collaborate with Safe Schools Healthy Partners • Todd County School, Children’s Court & Juvenile Justice, Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement, Sinte Gleska University Reclaiming Futures • Identify needs/Conduct Community Needs Assessment • Prioritize needs identified in Needs Assessment • Identify community partners, resources and services • Develop infrastructure to promote efficiency and create collaborative process to support and utilize programs currently in place
