GREAT Commissioning • Purpose: • giving an outline of the GREAT commissioning along the • GREAT ICP • the PSR-documentations • commissioning needs (to my understanding so far) • instrument declared to be airworthy • instrument performance testing • ICD-checks • documentation about • instrument tests • ICD-checks • observing modes incl. interactions with the observatory • procedures (installation, EMI-test, shipping, …) • instrument handling and maintenance • failure mode analysis to show reliability of the instrument • infrastructure requirements

Manuals and Procedures • GREAT is a PI instrument • all work with or at the GREAT instrument requires GREAT-team involvement • all work at the GREAT receiver system has to be authorized by the GREAT PI or by the GREAT project engineer • all work with the instrument must be performed by trained personnel only. • all personnel authorized to work or supervise work at the GREAT instrument is listed in appendix A to GP 1100 001 • the descriptions within the GREAT documents therefore shall give guidelines to those people only
