  3. The Muckrakers were the investigative journalists of their day. Exposing evil became a flourishing business.

  4. Muckraking was directed at social ills like- child labor

  5. political corruption

  6. monopolies and trusts

  7. Upton Sinclair was a socialist, who wanted to improve the plight of the working class in America.

  11. working conditions and the plight of labor

  12. Jacob Riis published a book of his photographs called How the Other Half Lives in which he depicted lives of poverty.
