  2. Frank – Educational Background • He went to KU for 2 years and then went on to Johnson County Community College for another 2 years studying Emergency Medicine and Service.

  3. Professional Background • He has worked for Med-Act for 8 years as an EMT. • He works 10 days a month. • Also holds down a 2nd job

  4. Job Requirements • Be at least 18 years of age • High school diploma, or equivalent • Provide evidence of certification as a Kansas Mobile Intensive Care Technician (Paramedic) or be registered as an EMT-Paramedic by the National Registry of EMTs. • Provide evidence of a valid driver's license and a safe driving record • Have no psychological or physical impairments that would prevent completion of duties listed in job description

  5. Job Trends, Changes, and Possibilities • Paramedics receive a 7% merit increase after their 1st and 2nd year of employment • They also receive life insurance of 50% of their annual salary • Employees receive 9 official holidays and 2-3 floating holidays
