All student choices are tracked on the Frog Chart and Class Dojo. All students begin the day on green with all SOAR letters. Frogs are moved up depending on student behavior and which SOAR letter the students needs to work. Frogs that are moved to a letter may be moved back to all of letters if the teacher sees the student making improved choices. All frogs are moved back to the lily pad at the end of the day to begin with all letters the next day. If students do not improve their behavior and make better choices then the student will loose one or more of the corresponding letters for that day. At the end of each school day, teachers will mark the calendar in the binder only if the students lost a letter. If the students is not marked then the student kept all of their SOAR letters. *A copy of the SOAR matrix is located on the back of your child’s behavior log. Behavior
Field Trips: We go on 2 trips a year. Both trips align with our curriculum and will be used to supplement learning outside of the classroom. Parents are welcome on these trips, however spaces are limited for chaperones. Parents who would like to join us for field trips, will be chosen in a lottery like system. And those parents will then need a background check, which is good for only one year. Please leave siblings at home so that you can enjoy the trip with your student.
