State and District Relationships in Online Learning in SREB States • First state-run virtual school: Florida Virtual School in 1997 • State-run virtual schools peaked in SREB states in 2008 at 15 • All except Oklahoma* • By 2012, 11 state-run virtual schools were still operating * University of Oklahoma High School (OUHS) was a virtual high school run state-wide and was available for all students. SREB used data from this school in its annual survey of state-run virtual schools.
