Agenda • Review RtII Priorities • Changes to the RtII Process • Changes to the RtII Online Intervention Module
Objectives • Participants will understand how the changes to the RtII Process apply to their schools • Participants will be able to navigate the changes in the Online Documentation system
Mid-Year Survey Data Conducted 2/18 through 3/1 Respondents 1031 individuals 223 Schools (89% of schools) • Process at schools in various levels of implementation • Results for Student Discipline showed confusion • Results showed that Documentation system was difficult to navigate
RtII Process Continuum Cultural Responsiveness
Level 1 Instructional Focus SY 2013-2014 • Level 1 Instruction • Core Curriculum Implementation with Fidelity • Attendance, Behavior, Math, Literacy • Encouraging Good instructional Practices • Employing Consistent Monitoring Practices • Providing Consistent And Ongoing Support and Feedback

Behavior – What’s New/Different? • Moving towards addressing the antecedents or root-cause(s) of behavior • Combination of student discipline (suspension) and behavior health support tracks • Integration of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) state mandates into the RtII process

Merging Interventions for Behavior & Discipline • Ensuring focus on the root cause of the behavior and providing ongoing supports • RtII behavioral interventions will prevent or reduce disciplinary infractions • Streamlining interventions between the behavior health and discipline track
RtII / Student Assistant Program (SAP) • Pennsylvania Act 211 (mandate) • SAP Certified Core Team • Four (4) RtII Leadership Team Members are trained and certified to meet the SAP Core Team mandate • Identification of students experiencing issues with alcohol, dangerous substances and behavioral health issues • RtII Leadership Team meets to identify students, design RtII behavior plan and progress monitor • Linkage to community and/or school-based services • RtII Level 3 Intervention is applied when necessary

Intervention Products To be displayed for ALL: • Behavorial • Identify intervention strategies for levels 1, 2, and 3 that the school can provide • Identify who can provide the various strategies • Academic • Identify School-wide strategies for Level 1 • Identify intervention and intervention products that are available in the school • Identify who can and will provide the intervention
Intervention Module • Literacy Interventions will be updated to include additional products • Math Interventions will be populated • Math Interventions and Intervention products will be collected online • Interventions in the Behavior track will address root causes
RtII Online Interventions Module • The overall system has been optimized for performance • Dashboards have been redesigned to be more streamlined • Dashboards support monitoring protocols • Students in group plans and individual plans are displayed on dashboard
