  2. TN Standards • SPI 0501.1.2 Identify the correct use of verbs (i.e., action/linking, regular/irregular, agreement, tenses) within context.

  3. Simple Tenses • The tense of a verb shows the time of the action or state of being. There are three basic tenses: present tense, past tense, and future tense. These are called the simple tenses.

  4. Directions: For 1-5 on page 166, write the verb or verb phrase. Identify the tense. 1. Tomorrow my teacher will talk about dolphins. Present tensePast tense Future tense
